Module 3: Admission of an Adult

what happens if i cannot find / get to see the patient within 24 hrs of receiving an application for involuntary admission. the patient is actively avoiding contact with me.?? i am a gp.

Section (10 )(2) of the Mental Health Act 2001 requires that a medical examination of the person subject to an applicantion shall be caried out within 24 hours of the receipt of the application.
