Welcome to the Mental Health Commission's e-learning programme which is designed to support you in updating your knowledge of the Mental Health Act, 2001.

The Mental Health Commission's e-learning programme on the Mental Health Act 2001 is located on HSElanD. It hosts our e-learning programme and assessment.

Not Registered Before?

If you have not enrolled before as a user on HSELanD.ie, then please click the Not Registered link below. Complete the Enrolment form, page by page. Fill in each field, then click Continue at the bottom of the page to move on to the next part.

When you have completed the Enrolment, you will see a page with your username and password. Keep these in a safe place; these are your personal account details. Now you are ready to log on to HSELanD. If you have any problems in registering with HSElanD, please go to their Help & Resources section to assist you through the registration process.

Accessing the Mental Health Commission's e-learning programme on the Mental Health Act 2001

Once you have registered and logged into HSELanD, you must then choose the Mental Health Commission's e-learning programme. Please see instructions below.

  1. Select “Learning Programmes” under the “Learning Resources” tab on the top left of the page.
  2. Then, on the right hand side of the page, under the “Find the Programme” heading, choose “MHS Learning Hub” from the drop down list and click “Go”.
  3. From there, choose the Mental Health Commission's e-learning programme called “Mental Health Act, 2001 - Mental Health Commission”.
  4. Click “Enrol” in programme.
